Rochestown finished this game early with a pulsating first half performance which saw them 3-0 up at the break. Ballincollig simply couldn’t live with the strength and pace of Aardash Sinnathambi who had a hat trick inside 8 first half minutes. Further goals from Leo Braggion and Chris O’Keeffe were added in the second half and a sublime finish from distance from Robbie O’Brien made it 6-0 on 45 minutes. Ballincollig scored two consolation goals before the final whistle. Man of the Match: Aardash Sinnathambi

Munster Cup Last 16: Midleton CBS 1 Rochestown 4

Rochestown blazed into the Munster QF with a breathtaking display against a very good Midleton CBS side. Rochestown started quick and had a number of chances before Aardash Sinnathambi was taken down in the box in the 20th minute. Dara Mulchinock stepped up but the Midleton keeper made an excellent save to keep his side in the game. 3 minutes later, Rochestown hit the front when rampaging full back Luc Kanza broke up the field and hit an unstoppable shot from all of 30 yards into the top of the net. Just on half time, Midleton were given a lifeline when the referee deemed a foul was committed on the Midleton striker in the box and he stepped up to score to make it 1-1 at the break.

Rochestown came out fast after half time and quickly added 3 goals in quick succession in the 35th, 38th and 45th minutes to end the tie. Dara McCormick finished off the best goal of the game as Chris O’Keeffe charged down the left to pull back for Dara who finished into the top corner from 20 yards. Dara scored a second from Roco’s second penalty of the day and the ever mobile Aardash Sinnathambi scored also to finish off  Roco’s best performance of the year to date. Cork Cup Round 2: St.Peters Passage 0 Rochestown 8

Rochestown made it into the Cork Cup QF against a St Peters side that proved difficult to break down but once Roco opened the scoring on 20 minutes through a 25 yard piledriver from Cal Nolan, St Peters started to leave gaps in order to try get an equaliser. Chris O’Keeffe ran half the length of the pitch on 25 mins past four defenders to get a deserved second for Roco. 2-0 at half time.

Roco opened the second half slowly but goal scoring full back Luc Kanza scored another from distance on 40 minutes, an unstoppable left foot shot from 25 yards that gave the keeper no chance. Roco went through the gears for the last 20 minutes and aided by fresh legs, added five further goals through Dara Mulchinock, Dara McCormick, Robert Hanley and a double from the hard working Aardash Sinnathambi.
